Fort Collins, CO, recently showed up on Google Street View, and with the new photo and Wikipedia tie-ins on Google Maps, I can pretty much get to know my future town before ever having set foot in it.
Here’s my future office (currently under renovation, but it’ll end up looking pretty much as boring as it does now–from the outside anyway). One of those windows on the first floor will be my window:
The PCA church I intend to check out:
New Belgium Brewing (where Fat Tire beer is made):
Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewery in Old Town Square:
Old Town looks like a pretty hip area, overall. If there’s anywhere else I should highlight in FC, let me know, but for now my impression of Fort Collins is CSU, brewpubs and biking, which are pretty okay things for a town to be known for. I have no idea where I’ll be living when I move out there in September, but once I do, I’ll let you see it first.
